Mexico (Yucatán Peninsula)

It’s been a while since we visited a “beach place”. First time in Mexico and we found some amazing views.

Thanks to some friends, we had very good restaurant addresses and we were not disappointed.

We visited beautiful places with extremely original architecture (understand adapted to their environment).

While we enjoyed the weather, views, sun and all good things to eat, we were a bit disappointed by the tourism industrial carnage…it clearly destroys what’s left of authenticity.

Of course this happens to many touristic places anywhere…but it’s always been hard for us to “play the game of being a tourist”. So much in this case that we voluntarily decided to avoid the famous cenotes (though they are gorgeous and we’d still love to visit some of them).

Still, coming from the old continent, visiting old ruins (touristic place at least cultural) is always a good moment for us.
