The Wallis is one of “canton” in Switzerland (very similar to the states in the US). You’ll find many famous ski resorts there (Zermatt, Saas Fee, Verbier, Cans-Montana, Nendaz and many others).
It’s also well known for its local cheese and vineyards growing directly on the hills and mountains
